St Mary’s (Stoke St Mary with Thurlbear)

Our village sits just 2 miles south east of Taunton and includes a pub, village hall and has close associations with the popular Thurlbear Primary school in the neighbouring village. St Mary’s has a rich history with its origins dating back to the 13th century. Its unchanged battlemented tower is one of the few remaining in the UK. St Peter’s (Staple Fitzpaine)

Our village sits just 5 miles south of Taunton in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village has a thriving pub, church choir and community. St Peter’s has been designated by English Heritage as Grade I listed and dates back to the Norman times. The church has six bells one of which dates back to 1480. St Michael’s (Orchard Portman)

St Michael’s dates back to the Norman times and is home to the heaviest complete set (cast together at the same time) of four church bells in the world!
